Adaptability is the ultimate superpower! I'm adaptive by nature, and my energy comes from sharing how organisations and the people in them can bend and flex to meet changing needs.
I'm passionate about growing leaders at every level so teams and organisations feel confident, trusted, and know that they make a difference.
Life is too short to be stuck in organisations where we can't add value, or feel like we're always in the losing team - I love helping people realise their strengths, make the most of what they have, and amplify it. This comes from being adaptive in how we live and serve.
Work makes up a large chunk of our life so we need to make it worth our effort. None of us should settle for average when we can thrive by being more intentional about what we want, and doing what is needed to achieve it.
Developing purpose and creating calm through practical action is what I'm known for.
Over 20+ years of working as a specialist in leadership, management, service improvement, and work culture, the journey travelled hasn't always gone to plan.
The psychological and practical game to shift thinking, change behaviour, and get results can be tough. I was crazy enough to compete in two bodybuilding competitions just to prove to myself that I could adapt emotionally, mentally, and physically!
With an extensive background in complex, large-scale organisations, I understand the clarity, systemised approach, and discipline needed to make the most of what you have and adapt for sustainable performance and growth.
As an Air Force veteran, I'm also passionate about helping veterans take charge of their civilian career identities, and partner with Mission Bridge and private companies to do this.
Everything we do is based on trust. It's risky, contextual, emotional, and essential for leveraging our skills and growing further. For myself, and the people I work with we don't always have trust when we need it, and are dedicated to creating more of it.
We often struggle to trust ourselves, and/or others to make significant changes, even with a clear vision and strong reasons to do things differently.
Trust comes from being confident in our ability to work with uncertainty and adapt to change.
The more adaptable we are, the greater our sense of control and calm to work around challenges and lean into higher-value opportunities.
Like many of my clients, I've suffered from the overuse of external experts to implement and improve things with limited success.
There are multiple examples in the public and private sectors of ridiculous amounts of time, money, and sanity wasted on inflexible, disconnected, and unsustainable 'solutions'.
The primary reason so many improvement plans fail is that 'leadership, service improvement, and work culture is everyone's responsibility', it can’t be outsourced, led, or sustained by anyone other than you and your teams.
Another big reason for failure is a lack of dedicated resourcing and skills. People and organisations fail when they are overwhelmed by expectations, can't adapt work practices, and aren't set up for success.
Seeing and feeling the pain of distrust due to massive gaps between big-picture strategies and operational realities, I wrote Trust as a practical guide to bring people together.
The key is to start with one thing and build confidence by developing and strengthening what people can do now for optimal return.
I work to develop leaders at every level and amplify strengths.
When people engage me, they get me as a partner who is equally invested in the value delivered and the resulting outcomes.
Complex challenges require a personal touch to develop solid relationships and build internal capability across teams with deep work that sustainably improves and grows services.
Everyone is responsible for bringing a vision and strategy to life. To ensure multi-disciplined teams work in sync, I developed the Adaptive Culture Model, an evidence-based, and easy-to-adopt approach for reviewing and developing work culture to ensure that people are set up for ongoing success.
Working directly with key people I help optimise leadership, business intelligence, and how people deliver services for high-value outcomes.
With practical and evidence-based approaches I work directly with Executives and Managers to build trust through co-design, skills transfer, and high-value service improvement tactics.
If you're prepared to partner up on the work, I'm here for your journey. As a team we will:
I'm intentionally not for everyone and I don't have a cookie-cutter offer. It's better to create a flexible and bespoke approach based on your challenges, the problems to be solved, and the outcomes to be achieved.
A conversation to determine if we'll be great partners is the first step.
